Women’s Leadership and Wellbeing Retreat
If you are ready for a breakthrough, this is it. This transformational retreat is a respite that inspires personal and professional growth. You will leave with a clear vision for what’s next, an action plan to get you there, insights to empower your progress, and simple, science-based tools to keep you on track.
Prepare for what’s next
In these four days together, we tap into our core values and strengths, use somatic practices to reconnect with our innate wisdom, and gain insights about ourselves while working with and riding horses.
Within a small cohort of other brilliant and determined women, you will clarify what’s most important to you, identify how you get in your own way, and establish a daily practice that creates new possibilities.
This Retreat is for you if
You love your life deeply…and you are exhausted at the end of most days.
You know your potential but are hindered by patterns of self-sabotage.
You are considered a leader by others but struggle to see it in yourself.
You need space to think your own thoughts and feel your feelings.
You long for authentic, deep connections with supportive peers.
You are ready for something different but don’t know where to start.
Resilient leaders are calm, composed, and connected - especially under intense pressure. They face the facts, find meaning, and see possibilities others might miss. They are capable of ingenious solutions because they can regulate their nervous system and maintain connection with all their smart parts - regardless uncertainty.
Researchers say everybody is born with some resilience, and our life experiences can erode or build up this inborn supply. Just like our other muscles, we can actively work to strengthen it. Our capacity for resilience and sense of wellbeing are intrinsically linked. Tending to our whole-person health is a practical path to fortifying our ability to resourcefully adapt, even when we hit life’s roughest patches.
“Resilient people possess three characteristics:
a staunch acceptance of reality;
a deep belief, often buttressed by strongly held values, that life is meaningful;
and an uncanny ability to improvise.”
~ Diane Cotu

Before We Arrive
The transformation begins before we arrive at Wide Sky. One month before our convening, an email outlining Forty-five minutes of required pre-work, which includes a WellBeing Assessment, a Universal Human Strengths Quiz, bite-sized videos, and short readings, will provide a foundation for our work together.
Daily Flow & Itinerary
Morning sessions begin with a Body-Mind activity that aligns and prepares us for the day’s work, and afternoon sessions continue with the inner explorations. We will spend the days building community, challenging old thinking, and creating new possibilities. Working with the horses helps us connect with embodied experiences that reflect the direction of our work. Midday activities include group trail rides and solo time for reflection and rest.
-
4:30 Arrival at Wide Sky - Once everyone has settled in, we will share a meal and begin building our community, introducing ourselves to one another, orienting to the wild and natural world, and framing the retreat flow.
-
We work with the results of our WellBeing Assessments and Strengths Quizzes and utilize a dynamic framework to process the information. Round Pen work with the horses allows us to build connections with the horses and grounds the day’s inner work.
-
We focus on values and how we get our needs met. Equine Gestalt Coach Jaimie Stoltzfus will join us for a deep dive in the Round Pen, where we will use equine-assisted techniques to learn more about ourselves.
-
We synthesize the learning, insights, and discoveries made and declare how we will integrate new practices that support our wellbeing and fortify our resilience into daily personal and work life.
10 am Departure - After saying goodbye to our equine friends, the Bozeman shuttle will depart. Sack lunches will be provided
A Somatic Approach - with Rebekah Easter
The term ‘somatic’ comes from the Greek word soma, which means “the organism in its wholeness.” We bring a whole-person approach to this self-awareness work, leveraging the body-mind connection to bring the sensing self back online. It is healing work, a process of bringing back together the fragmented parts of ourselves and returning to a state of wholeness. We all have experienced trauma. Some of us carry generational trauma, and too many of us have suffered from Trauma with a capital T. Relaxation techniques, experiential exercises, compassionate inquiry, and movement activities deepen our connection to self and enable us to live with more ease and alignment.
Gestalt Equine coaching with Jaimie Stoltzfus.
In the Round Pen session with Jaimie, you will experience the learning of how we relate with horses and the metaphor it can be for other relationships in life. You will connect with horses and other women to dig deep, challenge yourself, support others, and leave changed.

“I was just reflecting recently on how empowered I felt getting back to work after our time together...what I’m trying to sit with is that I don’t give myself enough credit. So I want to express my gratitude to everyone for being so affirming and kind ”
— M. Burt, Women’s Leadership Retreat, 2023
Rebekah is a Somatic Coach, CSC, PCC and Bodyworker, CMT+, with more than seventeen years of experience integrating Eastern and Western wisdom traditions to partner with others through healing, growth, and change. She is committed to nurturing a culture of connection and care, and works with individuals, and non-profit, education, and health care professionals.
As a overcomer of domestic violence, Rebekah has an embodied experience of this powerful approach and uses the same skills and strategies shared in her coaching practice to transform her life and support her now-grown children through their own trauma healing. Leaders use this wisdom to realize and live into their full potential and maintain a balance that sustains their best contribution over a lifetime of service.
But it is not only Leaders who can benefit from this self-awareness and self-mastery work. Rebekah holds that everybody has a unique contribution to make and should be equipped with skills, strategies, and community support to live their best life and make their best contribution. She is on a mission to democratize this life-changing knowledge, leading character strengths-based resilience programs in schools and hosting Wellbeing for Everybody, a weekly, online community of practice.
Born and raised in Pacifica, CA, Rebekah now lives in rural Montana where she and her partner raised their blended brood of five. Rebekah enjoys hiking and gardening, is learning to play hockey, and gets back to the ocean and redwood forests as often as she can.
